Minor Hotels will establish an Anantara-branded hotel in Saudi Arabia’s Trojena complex, NEOM’s year-round mountain resort.
The 270-key Anantara resort will have rooms and suites with lake or mountain views, some with private pools.
The facility will have two speciality restaurants, an all-day dining restaurant with a display kitchen, a café, high tea lounge, and rooftop majlis café.
The property will have an Anantara Spa with separate male and female wet areas and treatment rooms, multiple hammams, a fitness center, an infinity pool with mountain and lake views, a stargazing deck, an outdoor cinema, a kids’ club, and a sports and activity pavilion where guests can enjoy padel tennis, camel and horse riding, and guided walks.
The resort has a helipad for helicopter access. Corporate visitors and special events may use the resort’s conference and event venues.
The Trojena Valley Cluster’s Water Village will house the Anantara resort.
The Valley will include three projects and a 2.8km man-made freshwater lake. The Water Village will provide distinct shopping, eating, and hotel experiences.
“Trojena redefines year-round ultra-luxury hospitality and mountain tourism. The Anantara in our Water Village will enhance the holiday experience for discriminating guests.
“The Anantara will serve as a luxurious sanctuary along the edge of Trojena’s new lake, situated in a region that will offer the Gulf’s first outdoor ski resort and world-class sporting events, art exhibitions, concerts, and cultural festivals,” said Philip Gullett, executive director and region head at Trojena.
Trojena will host the 2029 Asian Winter Games and its first guests in late 2026. NEOM International airport and the high-speed rail network will connect it. Trojena will use renewable energy like NEOM.
Ennismore became Trojena’s first hotel enterprise last October. Trojena will host 25 Hours Hotels and Morgans Originals.
General Hotel Management (GHM) inked a deal with Neom Hotel Development to operate the Chedi Trojena, and a few weeks later Collective Retreats said it will establish a sustainability-focused facility in Trojena by 2026.
