The Dacia brand, which is owned by Renault SA, announced on Tuesday that sales for the first quarter increased significantly. This increase was driven by marketing and consistent development in France, which is Dacia’s most important market.
The Romanian budget car manufacturer reported selling 171,789 vehicles in the first quarter, which is a 34% increase over the same time period in the previous year. The growth can be attributed, in part, to the introduction of new branding.
Dacia sold 38,938 automobiles in France last quarter.
According to the firm, Dacia’s sales volumes were highest in France, where it sold 38,938 cars during the previous quarter. This represents a 33% increase in that market compared with the previous year.
Spain, Dacia’s fifth-largest market, saw sales more than double to 11,650 during the quarter, which resulted in the firm achieving its fastest growth during that time period.
