Genesis Electronics Group Announces First Binding Purchase Order
Taylor Transport Signs Contract To Buy First Glīd Units
April 17, 2023—Salt Lake City, Utah Genesis Electronics Group, Inc. (GEGI), creator of Glīd, an autonomous road-to-rail patent-pending transportation system, announced its first purchase order with Taylor Transport of Vancouver, WA.
As previously disclosed, Taylor Transport’s site contains a long rail spur that links to a local short-line track for shipping products and services. Glīd will test its beta units by picking up unmodified semi-trailers and transporting them from road to rail and back, and Taylor Transport will be able to employ these units in their yards to move freight autonomously.
Taylor Transport and GEGI have worked together for a long time to develop a solution for Taylor Transport to use Glīd’s autonomous cars to supplement their fleet.
“We are thrilled that the Leboki family and Taylor Transport have decided to increase their level of commitment to their decarbonization efforts by signing a binding purchase order for the first two units Glīd will produce,” stated Genesis Electronics Group, Inc. CEO Kevin Damoa.
“This belief in our product and level of commitment to both us and the environment supersedes our expectations at this stage of the business and is a strong signal to us and the market that the Glīd technology is needed and that the business economics can be highly advantageous for other trucking companies like Taylor Transport.”
Mr. Damoa added, “This Partnership truly marks an incredible milestone for our Company. Mr. Leboki is now a Glīd Brand Ambassador, dedicating his time, energy, and resources to help Glīd develop into the revolutionary shipping technology we know it can be. This alliance will help us commercialize Glīd faster.”
Taylor Transport President Mr. Leboki said, “The Glīd product and Genesis Electronics leadership team are the real deal. They have a solid track record of developing cutting-edge goods for other important firms, and given what we have seen, we trust in them so much we are ready to put our money where our mouth is by placing this binding purchase order for their first two units.”
This strategic partnership purchase order will not disclose transaction information.
GEG, Inc.
Genesis Electronics Group’s fully owned subsidiary Glīd is manufacturing Glīders, the first autonomous road-to-rail freight trucks. Fully laden semi-trailers can now use rails with gliders. Genesis Electronics Group will own and operate its fleet of Glīders and offer “Glider-as-a-Service.”
