Carole Bamford, the wife of JCB chairman Anthony Bamford, came up with the idea to give more than 8,500 unique hampers to JCB and agency employees in the UK to commemorate the momentous occasion.
Two Coronation mugs, shortbread, mints, and loose leaf tea in commemorative tins are included in the unique hampers, which were all created by renowned illustrator and artist Hugo Guinness.
To guarantee that staff receive their gifts in time for the festivities, a massive distribution operation has been put into motion. The majority of the deliveries began as early as 4am on Friday when nightshift workers finished their shifts.
Before the Coronation, Wrexham JCB personnel received a present.
The gift-giving ceremony concludes a week of Coronation festivities at JCB, notably at JCB Transmissions in Wrexham, where tens of thousands of workers have been participating in a nationwide street party. Over the course of four days, JCB treated staff to a two-course celebration lunch with traditional British fare served on trestle tables used for street parties.
“JCB has a long history of commemorating significant moments in our country’s history,” stated Lord Bamford. The Coronation will be a memorable event, therefore I’m thrilled to be able to celebrate with a gift from our family to our staff.
Chet Tanna, a financial controller at JCB with 30 years of service, said: “It’s an absolutely amazing gesture from the Bamford family. I doubt that many other businesses will recognize this momentous milestone in such a spectacular way.
