This week, the Professional School of Business Institute in Goroka opened the doors to its brand-new classroom, which was done so in order to accommodate the increasing number of pupils.
During the opening of the classroom, the director of the school, Mark Gozapao, brought attention to the fact that our nation is experiencing a significant problem with students dropping out of school and that this is one approach to assist these individuals by providing them with a second opportunity.
Short courses leading to certifications and degrees are provided by the educational establishment. Subjects covered include business management, accounting, human resources, information technology, small and medium enterprise, and theology.
At present time, there are four teachers working with 81 students who have enrolled in the different classes that are being provided by the school.
According to the Director of the School, they take in students, even those who have dropped out of school, and teach them to be professionals so that they can go on to have successful careers and lives in the future by contributing to the growth of the province and the country.
Mr. Gozapao made an impassioned plea to the Members of Parliament for the Eastern Highlands to assist young people who are not completing their education by paying their tuition and providing them with a second opportunity to study.
