Today, DEKRA added two new members to its Board of Management: Petra Finke (55), Global CIO Rhenus Freight Logistics and CEO of Rhenus Freight Network GmbH, will become Chief Digitalization Officer (CDO) on July 1, 2023, and Peter Laursen (47) will become COO immediately.

DEKRA named two new Board of Management members today: Petra Finke (55), Global CIO Rhenus Freight Logistics and CEO Rhenus Freight Network GmbH.
Petra Finke (55), Global CIO Rhenus Freight Logistics and CEO of Rhenus Freight Network GmbH, has worked for Rhenus Group for 20 years. She oversaw worldwide IT and digitalization and transformed the company’s heterogeneous IT and process landscape into a distributed, cloud-based digital ecosystem. She also founded Rhenus Freight Network GmbH as the key IT service provider and advisor for the worldwide network and developed digital customer solutions to optimize logistics value chains.
Petra Finke, DEKRA’s new CDO, will work to maximize digitalization’s commercial potential. DEKRA plans to expand its digital services for the TIC business (Testing, Inspection, and Certification). Petra Finke will leverage AI and remote services to improve DEKRA’s future mobility, sustainability, and cyber security services.
10 years with DEKRA for Peter Laursen (47). His business development skills made Denmark’s DEKRA Academy the market leader. He also expanded services outside trainings, resulting in two-digit revenue increase throughout the years. He turned around underperforming firms in North-West Europe while dealing with geopolitical issues, inflation, and supply chain constraints.
He will manage DEKRA’s six business areas, Group Marketing & Sales, and legal entities and activities in 60 countries on all continents as COO. He will grow DEKRA globally, notably in North America and Asia. He will connect DEKRA’s robust service offering to regional needs and help business regions achieve their strategic and financial goals.
