The United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc will hold its sixth annual UBA Africa Conversations on Africa Day to commemorate African solidarity.
Wednesday, May 24, at UBA House’s Tony Elumelu Amphitheater, is the event.
According to the statement, UBA Conversation 2023 invites African and global audiences to hear and engage with varied panelists on their African experiences and how they overcame hurdles to become worldwide successes.
Africans are doing amazing things globally.
The subject this year is “Innovating for Growth in Africa,” and it features an all-female panel of recognized experts from diverse areas.
“They include Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer, UBA Africa, Abiola Bawuah; President, Transnational Corporation (Transcorp) Plc, Owen Omogiafo; award-winning and trendsetting Foodpreneur/Chef, Hilda Baci; Renowned Fashion Designer, Banke Lawson-Kuku; and Business & Technology Executive, Folusho Gbadamosi.
These smart women will discuss their success and business innovation.
“They will also speak on their personal journeys and how women have aptly taken their pride of place against all odds to emerge as business leaders while supporting change on this continent,” the release added.
Henry Dottey, Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at UBA Ghana, will moderate.
“Also expected at this all-important event is the Chairman, UBA Group, Tony Elumelu; the Group Managing Director, Oliver Alawuba; other key management staff, business leaders and key players in the African economic, financial and business landscape,” it stated.
UBA Africa Conversations will begin at 12 p.m.WAT is free and will air on the bank’s Instagram and Facebook accounts.
Africa Day has been observed internationally on May 25 since 1963. The Organization of African Unity established the day to celebrate Africa’s unity, variety, and beauty.
