This conference, sponsored by The University of Sydney in collaboration with Sydney University Sport and Fitness, provides unique insight into women’s football and its global commercial future.
The Business and Development of Women’s Football Conference will be conducted at The University of Sydney, the oldest tertiary institution in Australia, from Monday, July 31 to Thursday, August 3.
The conference will bring together academics and sporting professionals from around the globe to dissect a program that is certain to stimulate discussion on the topics of diversity, access, inclusion, globalization, commercialization, the emergence of women’s football, and its future.
The conference will conclude with a day of hands-on mentoring activities and research.
Scheduled to occur during the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, the ambiance of football will create a thrilling and anticipatory environment at The University of Sydney. Throughout the days and at designated social gatherings, participants will have ample opportunities to meet, greet, and network.
The diversity and stature of local and international contributors, in conjunction with the program content, will facilitate the exchange of ideas and provide opportunities for new collaborations across a vast array of disciplines and topics.
This event is eagerly anticipated and will play an important role in celebrating the rise and position of women in football, while we – and the rest of the world – witness the finest female footballers compete for the title of World Champion.
