Shell Global Solutions has awarded Worley an enterprise framework agreement to provide services to the UK energy giant’s global undertaking.
Under the terms of the EFA, Worley will provide engineering, procurement, and integrated project management services for all of Shell’s enterprises.
Although no potential value was assigned to the award, Worley stated that the contract “describes incentive mechanisms that reward excellent project execution.”
The EFA has a three-year duration with two one-year extensions, and it replaces the previous framework agreement that expired in May 2017.
Worley sells North American division, wins Shell global award
From locations including Australia, the United States, Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Canada, Worley’s project execution teams will provide services with a focus on digitalisation and replication.
Chris Ashton, Worley’s chief executive, stated, “We are pleased to be a strategic global partner with Shell in the execution of their upcoming projects and their journey to net zero, which is consistent with our mission to create a more sustainable world.”
Monday, Worley announced that its North American turnaround and maintenance division had been sold to CAM Industrial Solutions.
The North America turnaround and maintenance division was part of Worley’s Americas field services and consisted of approximately 6,400 non-professional services personnel performing operating and closure maintenance craft work in the United States and Canada.
This company primarily serves oil refineries and petrochemical facilities and derives the majority of its income from traditional work. The transaction does not include Worley’s construction and fabrication operation in North America, which remains central to the company’s growth strategy.
“A portfolio management transaction like this supports our strategy of delivering high-value solutions in growth markets across the energy, chemicals, and resources sectors, as well as our ambition to grow our revenue from sustainability-related business across the portfolio,” stated Ashton.
During the transition to new ownership, we will continue to work cooperatively with CAM Industrial Solutions and support our employees and customers.
